Yes, it can be disturbing... but I don't think those numbers are accurate. That is to say, it's considered "cool" to be sexually active. But I have a general rule of thumb when it comes to dealing with kids. Generally, I only believe half of what kids, high school age and younger, say. And when it comes to issues of culture (or the "coolness" factor, as I call it), that number is actually closer to 25%. So, I'll believe a number about 1/4 of what the study is giving.
That said, it is still wrong. And frnakly, 1 child under the age of 18 being involved sexually is too many.
It's a bit disturbing and the numbers might be slightly inflated, but in this day and age I can't say I'm too shocked about it.
Yeah, I want a redo.
