Zebrahead report

With not much going on in the sports world, and the Huskers still 56 days from losing to Maine...let me fill ya in on some Zebrahead info, just in case you care.

- New Album is due out for the Christmas shopping season. No title has been selected, but tracks are done, and recording and mixing is taking place starting Monday. Look for a simple CD title to go with a low-key transition to the new lead singer.

- Shows in Europe fell through because Goldfinger dropped the dates. Sucks too, because English fans are going NUTS for Zebrahead right now over their appearance on a popular video game there. Sepaking of which....

- They attended a video-game conference on Thursday. Look for Zebrahead tracks on several video games coming out the holiday season. I don't know the titles, but I do know the brand. Look for a majority of the titles to be in Japan first, and the U.S. later.

- They're playing the small and dingy Chain Reaction in L.A. on August 5th. Filming of a DVD will be going on at the same time...hopefully to coincide with the release of the CD in late fall, early winter.

- No word on an Omaha show, although plans were underway to come out in late August. Unfortunately, dates fell through, and it looks like winter time (post CD release) before they play a show here. That's actually OK, because the Ranch Bowl is dead and there is noplace to play in this town.

More news as it develops....I'm a less geeky, Kurt Loder wannabe who isn't a complete tool like he is.

Kurt Loder wasn't that bad, but for some reason I always got the idea that he had to be the most depressed motherfucker in the history of the planet when he's off the set.

Hiya Mone...thanks for the comment. I'd be happy to throw some MP3's your way, but I'd probably get killed by the band for leaking new songs.

What I CAN do is send you to their Myspace account, which has 3 old songs and 1 new on on it. You can find it at www.myspace.com/zebrahead or just click on the black and red banner at the bottom of my main page.

Thanks again for stopping by.
